Anafric congratulates Provacuno on its fifth anniversary “of successes”

Provacuno, the Interprofessional of the Beef of Spain, celebrates five years. The agricultural organizations Asaja, Asoprovac, Coag, Cooperativas Agroalimentarias and Upa for the producing part are part of the entity. While for the industrial part and point of sale, are the organizations Agemcex, Anafric, Anice, Cedecarne, Cooperativas Agroalimentarias and Fecic. They all work together and with the utmost commitment to contribute their experience and knowledge as well as to define and plan the strategy in order to achieve the best for the sector.

During these five years, important communication campaigns have been launched, such as Fans of the Beef, where they have answered the questions of society about the true impact of the activity of Beef and the consumption of Beef on health. , the environment and animal welfare. It has also been possible to activate 3 European promotion campaigns in which an impact never before obtained in our sector has been achieved.

 

At the same time, the Carbon Neutral 2050 Beef Strategy has been launched, in collaboration with Spanish scientists, where a roadmap has been established to achieve climate neutrality, with different actions in the short, medium and long term. The sector is aware of the concerns of society and proof of this is the commitment to the planet.

 

In this last year, Provacuno has published one of the most rigorous, ambitious and objective works in the world, the Reference of Animal Welfare in beef PAWS. It has been prepared by the Spanish Society for Animal Protection (SEPROBA), experts in certification and by a multidisciplinary scientific committee, which has managed to be an accredited scheme by the National Accreditation Entity (ENAC).

In this last year, Provacuno has published one of the most rigorous, ambitious and objective works in the world, the Reference of Animal Welfare in beef PAWS. It has been prepared by the Spanish Society for Animal Protection (SEPROBA), experts in certification and by a multidisciplinary scientific committee, which has managed to be an accredited scheme by the National Accreditation Entity (ENAC).

The Interprofessional has carried out its activity intensively throughout these five years, where it has helped the internationalization of the sector, accelerating the opening of 8 new markets for export, and many others in which it continues to work to open borders to beef. Since Provacuno’s activity began, exports have increased by 20%, providing the sector with greater possibilities for the commercialization of beef.
