Anafric supports the decision of the Alimentaria Organizing Committee to postpone the fair until September

Anafric, a Spanish meat business association, is part of the Intercarn Committee, a room that encompasses the entire meat sector in Alimentaria, which unanimously approved yesterday the decision to postpone the fair, according to the proposal of its Organizing Committee, to be held on 14 as of September 17 of this year.

The Intercarn Committee has assessed the current circumstances at the international level, understanding that the effects on the movement of people who have been determined by various countries, advised to plan a change of dates in which to ensure a more favorable context for the celebration of Alimentaria with the best results. The organizational effort of Fira de Barcelona to relocate the fair in September has been key to obtaining the unanimous support of the Intercarn Committee.

Anafric’s message
The president of Anafric, José Fríguls, believes it is necessary to “capitalize positively on this change of dates in order to ensure the maximum influx of international visitors, taking into account the great export role of the meat industry of our country and that is mostly represented in Alimentaria In this sense affirm our commitment to continue working side by side with the administration so that this edition of Alimentaria, in September, will be even more productive and effective. ”

In the same voice, the vice president of the association, Marcel Ruiz, who attended as a member of the Intercarn Committee representing Anafric. “We celebrate the full harmony in the approach and the assessment made by the Organizing Committee, proposing in due time some new dates that we consider suitable for the development of Alimentaria. The current climate of international uncertainty advises this postponement in favor of visitors, exhibitors and organizers. ”
