China on alert in front of a case of aviary disease in humans

The Chinese authorities have announced the demise of a 44 year old man of Hechi (Guangxi) on October 27th because of an aviary disease (avian influenza) with the serotype H5N6 of the virus.

The affected one, on his way to the hospital pointed out not having had any contact with birds live and the authorities have sent a message to the population to avoid any contact with birds live on markets and/or farms and take precautions when buying poultry meat.

This is the second case of avian influenza since last august the first affected was detected in a 42-year-old man, affected by the virus’s serotype itself. Since 2014 a total of 22 cases have been reported in China by sanitary authorities.
