The Interovic and Provacuno interprofessionals have started a joint project to value the new Animal Welfare Commitment seal, and which aims to publicize a more sustainable and animal-friendly production model.
This campaign aims to contribute positively to the achievement of the objectives set by the European Union through the Farm2Fork strategy, the Green Deal, the CAP and the 2050 Carbon Neutral Objective.
As the Green Deal itself acknowledges, “Animal Welfare is closely related to sustainable development.” These links become evident when taking into account all the benefits that animal welfare provides in terms of production and quality, and, fundamentally, in terms of the reduction of diseases and veterinary treatments that prevent the risk of foodborne diseases. and animals, which translates into a decrease in the use of antibiotics.
