The heads of various sectoral organizations in the food sector and unions have created a Labor Affairs Commission for the coronavirus COVID-19.
The objective is to contribute together to prevent the spread of the pandemic in companies and among workers in the sector, as well as guarantee the food supply of the entire population.
The social partners also agreed to agree on a joint document, valuing the sector as an essential service to society, in addition to highlighting as a priority for all that work in the food and beverage industry is carried out safely, making references to guidelines and preventive measures, as well as a possible guide of good practices. Also to guarantee the feeding of all the Spanish people.
In this line, the sectoral collaboration was agreed to improve the supply of the EPIS necessary to carry out the activity, as well as looking for alternatives to guarantee the safe movement of people who go to work.
