During the first eight months of 2020, EU27 agri-food exports increased by 1.2% compared to the corresponding period in 2019, reaching 119 billion euros. EU27 imports reached € 81.6 billion, almost 1% more than in the same eight-month period in 2019.
Compared to the evolution of the previous month, in August the monthly values of EU27 exports fell by 12% after having increased since May (+ 7% in July and + 3% in June), while the monthly value of exports EU imports also registered a significant decrease (-10%) following a downward trend since April (-2% in July and -1% in June).
