France and the Netherlands register more cases of COVID-19 among slaughterhouse workers

Both France and the Netherlands have reported the detection of workers in several slaughterhouses affected by COVID-19. Faced with situations experienced in Germany, the number of cases detected has not caused a shortage of products as if it had happened in other countries, according to the Eurocarne magazine.

In the Netherlands, a Vion slaughterhouse located in the town of Groento closed after 45 positives were detected by COVID-19. The analyzes were expanded and 147 positives from 657 workers were registered. After closing, production was taken over by other company plants.
