The purpose of this certification is to guarantee the consumer that products derived from beef, identifying them with the PAWS “Animal Welfare Commitment” brand, offer a high level of animal welfare. Thus, they show that they come from operators that meet the requirements established by PROVACUNO, regarding animal welfare and the traceability of this certification scheme, applicable to farms, slaughterhouses and industries.
Bureau Veritas as an independent control body, carries out the PAWS certification process. It is the first step for all those operators who want to have the guarantee mark: “Animal Welfare Commitment” from PAWS.
