Intercarn, one of the Alimentaria pavilions on the verge of ‘full occupation’

Nearly 3,000 companies will make up the global offer of Alimentaria and Hostelco, the appointment with gastronomy and technology that will take place from April 4 to 7, 2022, at Fira Barcelona. According to contracting data, the international presence will be considerable: some 400 companies, 18% of the total, will come from 52 countries and will occupy an area of ​​15,000m2. Among them, the participation for the first time of Brazil, Slovakia, Australia, Canada, the United Arab Emirates and Puerto Rico stands out. Pavilions like Grocery Foods; Snacks, Biscuits & Confectionary; Intercarn; Interact; Expo Conser; Fine Foods and Organics are some of the Alimentaria sectors that have already reached full employment.

 

87% of the firms that were committed to attending the call in 2020 remain faithful to the show and revalidate their participation again. Likewise, more than 200 companies attend the event for the first time in search of business opportunities or explore export possibilities.

Among the 10 specific halls that make up Alimentaria, the dynamism of Intercarn, the meat and derivatives sector, stands out, which already exceeds 14,000 m2 of surface area, making it the largest space in Alimentaria. This sector thus assumes the leadership of this edition, endorsed by the Spanish meat industry that recognizes in the show its main business and internationalization platform.

The simultaneous celebration of Alimentaria and Hostelco (the International Exhibition of Equipment and Machinery for Restaurants, Hotels and Collectivities), will show both the distribution and the Horeca channel the most complete and transversal offer of the entire value chain of the food industry. restoration and gastronomy.
