INTERPORC presents the Mexico-Spain meat business sector meeting at Meat Attraction

The Interprofessional of the White Coat Pig (INTERPORC) has shown, in various activities, the achievements of the white coat pig sector within the framework of Meat Attraction, which will be held at Ifema until March 10.

The INTERPORC stand hosts numerous events to publicize the versatility and nutritional quality of meat and products from white coat pigs, which makes them essential in the context of a balanced diet.

On the first day of the fair, Luis Planas, Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food, visited the stand and the IV Scientific Symposium on white-coated pork was held. The event has been opened by Alberto Herranz, director of INTERPORC, and has brought together leading experts in nutrition, dietetics, medicine and biotechnology.

Activities on March 9 and 10

During the day of March 9 and 10, the protagonists are the markets of Mexico and Japan, with the presence of buyers from those areas. Specifically, on the 9th, the Mexico-Spain meat sector and business meeting will be held, organized by INTERPORC, CoMeCarne and Avianza, with the presence of Manuel García, president of INTERPORC; Ernesto Hermosillo, president of CoMeCarne; and Antonio Sánchez, president of Avianza. The needs of that market are addressed and a business round is held between Mexican and Spanish companies.

In the culinary section, the ‘Promises of the Kitchen’ contest will put nine students from the IES Hotel Escuela into contention. Every day, three of them compete to prepare the best dishes with white layer pork as the main ingredient in a contest that will deliver its prizes on the afternoon of Thursday, March 10, shortly before the conclusion of the fair.

In addition, the master cutter Carolina Vives will offer ham cutting demonstrations throughout the fair.
