Madrid City Council and Provacuno distribute 1,000 meals with beef cooked by Michelin stars for people in need

Provacuno has joined the Madrid City Council to carry out a solidarity action with the distribution of 1,000 meals with beef so that the most needy can enjoy these important dates. Representatives of both institutions have delivered to the Florida Retiro Pavilion (Retiro Park) 1,000 servings of Beef Cheek with truffled potato puree among the most needy groups through solidarity centers.

The event was attended by the councilor of the Vallecas district of the Madrid City Council, Borja Fanjul, along with Javier López, general director of Provacuno, and five great Spanish chefs in charge of preparing the rations: Diego Guerrero (DSTAgE restaurant), Juan Lu Fernández (Lu Cocina y Alma), Iván Cerdeño (Iván Cerdeño), Luis Valls (El Poblet) and Javier Aranda (Gaytán), all of them recently recognized with Michelin stars.

From the Madrid City Council, Fanjul thanked PROVACUNO for the donation of the raw material and the chefs for their work to prepare the 1,000 meals.

For Javier López, director of Provacuno, the collaboration of the Madrid City Council has been “fundamental to make this delivery of food possible among those who need it most. The entire sector, from ranchers, producers, butchers … we form a value chain committed not only to feeding the population with the best meat in the world, but also to helping those who need it most. This event in the capital complements our work during the harsh months of the pandemic ”.
