In the Commission, the minister returned to value the central role of the entire agrifood chain, as one of the fundamental pillars in this crisis, ensuring food supply, mentioning today the constitution of the Commission for the Social and Economic Reconstruction of Spain after Covid-19 in the Lower House, he stressed that agri-food is reaffirmed as a key sector in this recovery.

He also noted that in the seven weeks that have passed, from March 9 to April 26, 4.5 million tons of food and beverages have been provided for the whole of society, that is, that households have consumed more than one million tons more compared to the same period in 2019.
