The General Directorate of Food, Quality and Agrifood Industries of the Generalitat de Catalunya participates in the Interreg Europe Quality project “Quality and authenticity standards to enhance the competitiveness of food and agriculture SMEs”. Within this framework, the General Directorate has asked Anafric for maximum dissemination in order to obtain representative results. The questionnaire is online at this link.
It will be operational until April 7, 2020.
What is Qualify?
Qualify has been designed to promote the competitiveness of SMEs in the agri-food sector by facing a challenge that affects the regions involved and the entire EU (as indicated by the European Commission):
- The improvement of the quality processes of these SMEs.
- The fight against fraud in the sector.
- Promoting authenticity in your products.
Specifically, this project carried out by the Generalitat with the support of the EU, aims to improve the competitiveness of SMEs in the agri-food industries through different measures and actions.
The core of these actions include: improving the capacities of SMEs so that they can compete nationally and internationally, improving efficiency in the use of resources while having high sustainable quality standards, investments to expand collaborations of SMEs in the sector in research and innovation projects to improve their products and their quality levels, etc. These actions are included in the framework of the priorities: expansion of advanced capacities for the development of new products and support to SMEs to grow in regional, national and international markets.
