Catalonia already has a Strategic Food Plan that includes the entire value chain and that will begin in 2021 and will last until 2026. The Strategic Plan for Food for Catalonia sets out the bases for articulating the National Pact for the food of Catalonia. This Pact must allow us to carry out our own agricultural, fishing, forestry and food policy, with a broad and transversal vision that gives prominence to local food production and in our gastronomic culture.
The Plan is specified in a first level with 4 dimensions, that is, the main areas that define the food system: sustainable, transformative and based on the circular bioeconomy, its own and rooted in the territory, fair, equitable and cohesive and finally healthy and trustworthy.
The second level is 10 strategic objectives, challenges that derive from the four dimensions and the main elements that are answered. In order to make these objectives operational, the third level has 20 strategic lines planned, which are deployed in 55 initiatives (fourth level) aimed at achieving the objectives set, and which, therefore, constitute the core of the roadmap.
